Hudl2 Opening the Case

The first challenge of repairing a Hudl2 is opening the case. You need the right tools to do this. I normally start with a blunt Butter knife on the longest stretch of the seam before switching to a plastic pry tool. It’s very important to avoid damaging the case while you do this. Take it slow and twist the pry tool to pop the connectors, trying not to break any. Some Hudl 2 cases can get very brittle. There may be a correlation with smoking and Hudl 2’s as I’ve repaired some devices that appear to have nicotine residue inside the case.  The last thing you want to find is tiny  shards of broken plastic when you open the case.
